Everyone has a story to tell. This workshop is your guide to honoring
the storyteller within, and will put you on the road to bringing that story
to life by following these simple steps:
* Finding Your Muse
What is that elusive thing called creativity? Through a series of
simple exercises, you may find it's closer than you thought. Learn how
to capture and recall the creative muse at will using common-sense
tools of successful writers... and more exotic methods that are just
plain fun.
*Finding Your Passion
What do you care about? How can you make others share,
understand, or simply be touched by the things that are important to
you? Discover what it is you have to say, and then go about the
business of saying it effectively.
*Finding Your Truth
The first secret of effective writing is authenticity. But expressing
yourself from a place of honesty is more difficult than it sounds. Learn
how to engage an audience by giving them the one thing they don't
expect... you.
*Finding Your Voice
How you tell your story is at least as important as the story itself.
How do you find the words, the tone, the phrasing and the style that will
best express al that is uniquely you? Learn how to develop an ear for
style, and how to search out the style that is unique your own. You will
then be well on your way to creating a story that no one else could
have written but you.
